Niki + Mike's Green Music Center Wedding Sneak Peek! {Green Music Center, SSU wedding, sonoma county wedding}

I had the honor of photographing the very first wedding held at the Green Music Center at Sonoma State University. The property is absolutely gorgeous! There are so many places to take great pictures, and the construction isn't even finished yet!!! There are so many beautiful wodden doors and gates and gorgeous stone walls and pillars! and the Hospitality Director, Kelley was amazing to work with. So delightful and for the first wedding ever held there she was cool as a cucumber (do people still use that saying??) she was in fact more calm and full of solutions I would have thought it was their 100th wedding.
I have barely begun editing these images (the wedding was yesterday) but I had to pull out several of my favorites and a handful that showed off just how beautiful this place really was.
Now you have to have a little back story on the weather. As many of you know, a cloudy or overcast day is ideal for any photographer! It's in fact our dream! We pray and pray and pray that every morning we wake up and have to shoot a wedding the sun is delicately placed behind a flat wispy cloud. Well I woke up yesterday and the sun was fast pitched behind a storm cloud the size of Texas! But my trusty iPhone weather ap said it wasn't going to rain until 8pm. But either way the sun was still tucked away so there was no direct sun and we were free to take photographs anywhere we'd like with out the fear of the sun getting in our way! Sure enough, 15 minutes before "show time" the bride walks around the corner about to make her final steps towards the isle and as if to slam it in my face that the bride and her family were praying much harder than I was, the sun beamed out of the clouds and lit up the entire lawn! It really was gorgeous! But cool and collected on the outside, inside I was scrambling to get my camera's to "plan b" or "plan sunshine" the rest of the afternoon the sun was playing tricks on me. Hiding behind a wispy cloud, I'd get the group set up and my camera set, my finger would hit the trigger and PEEK A BOO!! the sun would pop out from behind the cloud! It was fun times! But what doesn't hurt you makes you stronger.... ya ya ya and leads you to a bottle of wine at the end of the evening! Luckily I have a 2.5 year old and a 1 year old which makes me no stranger to adaptation. So I did just that. Here is a little "sneak peek" of a few of my favorites and a few that will showcase how beautiful this venue is. There are many more to come!

Collin Bonomo {newborn photos}

I just wanted to share one of my favorites from Collin's Newborn shoot. I'm sure if you've followed my blog for any amount of time then you've read about my dear friends, The Bonomo's and their daughter Kennedy. If not it's a story everyone should know. It will inspire you to be a better person. http://kennedybonomo.blogspot.com/
Collin is the newest addition to the Bonomo Family and it was such an honor and a pleasure to make the trip down to Glendora to take Collin's photos. He was 5 days old! I am tired and about ready to pass out on my computer desk so I can only post 1 of my many favorites from this shoot, ok maybe 2. But I promise I will post more this weekend!

Yolanda's Mother's Day Sneak Peek.... {claremont colleges, family photos at claremont colleges, family photos, mothers day photos}

Yolanda and her family live down the street from our home in Rancho Cucamonga. When we moved we were so sad to say goodbye to such amazing neighbors! I was extatic when Chelsea called asking if I'd do a photoshoot for her, her little Brother, and her Mom for Mother's Day while I was down in the L.A. area visiting my Mom. Here are some of my favorites...

Did I mention that there just happened to be a nudest group at the location we picked??? We went to Scripts College which is one of the beautiful Claremont Colleges. We happend to glance over into the grassy field that was in the center of all of these old gorgeous buildings. We thought there was just one topless sunbather until we heard a group of people screaming and saw them dancing. It was then that we noticed that some were topless, some were completely nude! Luckily Camden was too young to notice! the rest of us just got a good laugh out of it! I think it contributed to some of the great smiles I got from the ladies!
