Mommy and Me Easter Egg Hunt {mommy and me, easter photos, sonoma county children's photographer}

A few of my friends threw a beautiful Mommy and Me Easter Egg Hunt and Brunch. Trinity has this amazing backyard that is perfect for this sort of event! It was so much fun watching the kids excitement and joy!

I think Aidan may have been the oldest there and he is almost 4 so there was about 15 kids under the age of 4! The older ones all knew what was out there and what each of those little eggs had in store for them once they got their hands on them. So you could see the older kids start to park themselves near the back door and the back windows trying to get a glimpse. It was funny because the little ones were clueless, just playing with the toys in the playroom, eating breakfast with out a care in the world. I actually think they were all happy because the older kids weren't pestering them!!!

As many of you know I have a 3.5 year old and a 1.5 year old. They are 20 months apart, aka insanity! So as they both have gotten older and have reached this new stage in their personalities and in their relationship with each other, I have been able to "hover" less and let them go off on their own more. Leaving me with time to actually socialize with other adults and to be able to capture some of these memories with my camera and not my phone! I feel like the past 2 years any time I bring both kids somewhere I wouldn't bring my camera because it was just too much. So I was the photographer who didn't photograph her own kids memories! LOL! Well I did, just with the iphone! This party was one of the first parties I think I've really been able to sit back and enjoy the two things I love the most, watching my children be who they are and capturing it with my camera! ...oh and I talked adult talk with other ....ADULTS! woo hoo!

There were so many kids and I know I missed a few of them (sorry) but I tried to capture all the kids enjoying the day! Enjoy... there will be more to come on facebook later. If you are "friends" with me on facebook I'll post the complete set of images later next week.
