I have barely begun editing these images (the wedding was yesterday) but I had to pull out several of my favorites and a handful that showed off just how beautiful this place really was.
Now you have to have a little back story on the weather. As many of you know, a cloudy or overcast day is ideal for any photographer! It's in fact our dream! We pray and pray and pray that every morning we wake up and have to shoot a wedding the sun is delicately placed behind a flat wispy cloud. Well I woke up yesterday and the sun was fast pitched behind a storm cloud the size of Texas! But my trusty iPhone weather ap said it wasn't going to rain until 8pm. But either way the sun was still tucked away so there was no direct sun and we were free to take photographs anywhere we'd like with out the fear of the sun getting in our way! Sure enough, 15 minutes before "show time" the bride walks around the corner about to make her final steps towards the isle and as if to slam it in my face that the bride and her family were praying much harder than I was, the sun beamed out of the clouds and lit up the entire lawn! It really was gorgeous! But cool and collected on the outside, inside I was scrambling to get my camera's to "plan b" or "plan sunshine" the rest of the afternoon the sun was playing tricks on me. Hiding behind a wispy cloud, I'd get the group set up and my camera set, my finger would hit the trigger and PEEK A BOO!! the sun would pop out from behind the cloud! It was fun times! But what doesn't hurt you makes you stronger.... ya ya ya and leads you to a bottle of wine at the end of the evening! Luckily I have a 2.5 year old and a 1 year old which makes me no stranger to adaptation. So I did just that. Here is a little "sneak peek" of a few of my favorites and a few that will showcase how beautiful this venue is. There are many more to come!
