Yesterday I had the honor of taking photos of a very special little girl. I can't begin to even summarize the challenges Kennedy has faced everyday for this past year. Her touching story can be read on her Mom's blog http://kennedybonomo.blogspot.com/ When you first hear her story it makes you sad. But I assure you after meeting her, though her situation may seem sad, her eyes are filled with happiness and her surroundings are nothing but happiness and love. Something all of us strive to provide for our own family.
She is truly an amazing little girl and it's all because of her world class parents. I had the pleasure of coming to their loving home to take photos of Kennedy for her 1st Birthday. Many many doctors told the Bonomos that she wouldn't make it to her first birthday so it was a very blissful experience to take her photos and to post them for all of you to share in our excitement for Kennedy's strength given to her by her amazing family! I'm looking forward to taking her 2nd and 3rd and many many more birthday photos to come.
A sincere thank you to the Bonomos.

Rylan Crosbie's Newborn Photoshoot
I had the pleasure of being present for the birth of Rylan Grace Crosbie. My best friend, Trinity and her husband gave me the best gift of all and that was to be there for her birth. It was the most amazing experience second to my own son's birth. I came back up North to Sonoma County 5 weeks later for the birth of another friend's baby (pictures to come in a few days). So I spent a day with the Crosbie's taking photos of baby Rylan. We took some family photos and some of just the 2 kids and some of Trinity's Mom and her grandbabies! Matt is a police detective with the Santa Rosa Police Department so we got the good idea to put Rylan in his vest with Matt and to put his badge around her neck. We could hardly get her to sleep the whole photoshoot but of course when we put her in the vest she stayed sound asleep!! We had a great time! Here are a few of the photos. There are more posted on the website under newborn and some under family.

As Frank says "some days are easier than others"
My gorgeous friend from High School, Michelle has met a very handsome and sweet man, Brian. They are getting married in August and I have been given the privilege of being their wedding photographer. We shot their engagement shoot in West Hollywood yesterday. I wanted to get the lighting and all the details right so I asked one of the instructors from Tri Community to come assist me with the shoot. To my surprise he said yes!
When I left the house it was cold and gloomy with dark clouds in the sky. As I drove down Beverly Blvd, just as I passed the Birthing Center (which was directly across the street from the Erotica 24/7 store-you gotta love Hollywood!) the sun began to appear and the only clouds in the sky were beautiful and white separated by bright blue skies! I couldn't have asked for better weather! Brian and Michelle knew of this cool abandoned old tire shop so we began the shoot there, continued on to this amazing place called the Crown Bar, and we ended our shoot at this amazing fashion boutique that we stumbled upon! I couldn't have dreamed of a better day! Thanks to Michelle and Brian for being the ultimate subjects and thanks to Frank for coming and helping a green grasshopper like me!!

The Albe Family
On Mother's Day I did a photoshoot for one of my Bride's family. I photographed their family at Heritage Park in La Verne. As I was finishing up I met a lovely Woman named Jennifer. She later called to book a family shoot for her own family. Her sisters all live long distances from their Mother. One actually lives in London so they don't often get to all be together at the same time to take family photos. So they invited me to come to their Mother's beautiful home in Glendora to shoot each family, the entire family, and Jennifer's Mother with all of her grandkids. I had a great time! The were such a fun family!!
Jenn and Brian's Engagement Shoot
So as most of you know I go to the Tri Community Photography School in Covina. On Thursday nights I go to an Advance Wedding Photography Class taught by Frank Wise. We often shoot either models in wedding dresses or we try and get real couples to come model for us. 2 weeks ago I asked my friends Jenn and Brian to come model for us since they hadn't taken engagement photos yet. We took them to downtown Covina and got some great shots.
